Latest Poll – Another New Poll – Helping to Shape The Series
Thank you to those who have voted by clicking on the Poll Monster and by sending me emails.
The latest poll was about adding distances. It appears of the 4 choices, the 400m and the 10, 000m are the clear leaders.
1000 and 2000m, not so much. There are a few votes for none of the above distances to be added of the suggestions, which all four are mentioned above: 400, 1000, 2000 and 10, 000m.
So if I do add any, it will be 400m and 10, 000m. I am almost certain that an elite only 10, 000m would be the way to go. The reason for this would be because of the huge range of everyday runners and the lapping that this will cause. Makes for a tough go for lap counting and timing.
So, so far we know that Saturdays rule and a Wednesday would be nice too – otherwise no major change for day of the week.

Personally speaking, I think it should remain Saturdays, remain Oak Bay, and remain 800-5000m. The only thing I might suggest is 6 meets vice 8. (Can you believe I am suggesting less meets? Attendance at a couple was kinda low. 6 will force them out a bit more.) I think alternating 800/3000 with 1500/5000 (x3) is a good thing. If a 10000 is laid on but ONLY for fasties, then it sort of goes against the modus operandi. So nix 10000. And nix 400. Keep it “middle distance”. My 2 cents.
