About the Q’s Victoria Track Series
The Q’s Victoria Track Series includes 8 track meets that start on May 14th and runs through to September 3rd 2011. Each meet provides the opportunity for participants of all levels, from beginner to Olympian, the opportunity to compete within their own level.
5 Canadian, age-group records were set, 4 by 80-year old Maurice Tarrant of Victoria, BC and 1 by 70-year old Herb Phillips of Vancouver, BC. Maurice. There was 1 Alberta provincial age-group record set by a visiting Edmonton runner in the 45-49 age-group during a mile race.
The 2011 Q’s Victoria Track Series and Lucy Smith Clinic Series will be hosted at the Jack Wallace Memorial Track. New for 2011: the third meet will take place at the University of Victoria‘s, Centennial Stadium, which will also be part of the Pacific Canada Series, which includes the Harry Jerome and Vic Track Classic.
