Was at the Sooke River 10k today promoting the series. Right next to my booth was Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria Booth. I was going to steal his Tour de France jersey, but there were too many eyes. Naaaah.

It was good to see Shane R. win his first ever Island Race Series race, in 33:01. He was sprinting all along, uphill to the finish, to try to break that magical 33:00 mark. I am sure he will at the TC10k, as it provides a faster course.

Care Wakely continued her local dominance with her outright win.

In Vancouver at the Vancouver Sun Run, 2010 Q’s Victoria Track Series MC, David Jackson put in a great performance for a personal best with his 30:27 – and collected some money too. Congrats to David.
