The Awesome Performance Award (for lack of a better name) of a 3-night stay at the beautiful Sunrise Ridge Resort in stunning Parksville, BC – for the winner and a draw prize from Saucony for voters, is finally getting some action.

The rule(s) is very basic: Vote for whoever you think had an awesome performance. Anyone can vote for anyone and ‘performance’ can be from any criteria.

The leaders are:

Maurice Tarrant – 15 votes

From Maurice’s 3000m, not yet official (small formality) Canadian age-group Record (80+), where he ran part of the race alone, Saturday May 15th, to demolish the old record by 2 minutes! The old record was 16:03′02, Maurice ran 14:06′9.

Buddy Bhandar – 6 votes.

For his double race and his valiant finishes. Buddy competes in the M50-50 category and leads that age-group as we speak, always finishes with a great display of effort.

Willy Langat – 3 votes

Like Bhandar, Willy ‘put it all out there’ to finish first in both races he ran – yes he ran a double Saturday, May 15th.

Dylan Haight – 3 votes

For smart racing, allowing most of his 3000m race unfold moving throughout the field before unleashing enough of a kick to win.
