The Maurice Tarrant Performance Award

*Awarded annually to the Q’s Victoria Track Series athlete who receives the most votes from his or her peers, while competing in any of the Q’s Victoria Track Series races.

2011 Maurice Tarrant Performance Award winner was Mark Jackman.

2010 Maurice Tarrant Performance Award winner was the man himself, Maurice Tarrant.

Online registration will be available in advance of the series and throughout the series. Each track meet will take place on a Saturday.

You may register in person at Island Runner Footwear, 1576 Fairfield Road or in-person, up to 6:00 PM on the day of each meet.

Day of race registration for individual entries will be $10 per race.

You can pay by credit card or cash at Island Runner Footwear and by credit card online. You can pay for any and all races with ca$h at the races, in-person. Races take place at the Jack Wallace Memorial Track, conveniently located between Oak Bay High School and Oak Bay Recreation Centre. Except Saturday, August 27th will happen at the University of Victoria’s Centennial Stadium.

Open category: For everyone of all abilities – male and female race together.

Elite category: Elite races include runners of varying abilities. Standards may be set without prior warning. Heats may be added, if required without warning. Arrive early. Races may be capped, so register early to avoid disappointment.

Bring family and friends to cheer you on. Spectators are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or a small donation to the Mustard Seed Foodbank.
